I brought my Jetta (Invoice #728099, Aug 22–30, 2025, 30,839 mi) to AutoNation Volkswagen Las Vegas for major warranty repairs. My advisor James was polite and communicative, but several serious issues remain: 1. Transmission Documentation — Invoice says “new transmission assembly installed” yet no transmission part numbers appear on the parts list. Despite this, CARFAX shows “transmission replaced.” 2. Drivability Problem — Since service, the car has a hard punch into Drive. 3. Battery Drain — After connecting MyVW app, I got a low battery warning within hours, then the car would not start. 4. Disconnected Hose — I personally found a hose left disconnected in the engine bay. 5. Brake Squeak — Before handing me the keys, James said the car came out of service with a brake squeak and blamed it on humidity. He assured me it would pass, but weeks later the squeak continues at low speeds (under 15 mph) even without pressing the brake pedal. James handled me respectfully, but the workmanship, documentation accuracy, and final quality control at this dealership are unacceptable.

I had to have it towed because it died in the middle of a busy intersection and was smoking and smelt like something electrical but after it was taken vw it was found to be a dead battery! It ran great but it’s now 6 days later and it won’t pass inspection/ smog test! I’ve taken it 3 times and was told since the battery was replaced I had to have approximately 100 miles on it! So I put 100 miles on it went back was told I needed 40 more miles and the last time which was today I had actually put over 70 miles and it still wouldn’t pass! I paid $600 for a battery and engine check 6 days ago and today after it failed for the 3rd time I went to vw and was told I would have to pay $208 for another diagnostic test!
